CodeBlue Technology is designed to be the single source of technology for small to medium sized businesses including computers and support, networking, telephone systems, video security and access control.
In early 2021, CodeBlue Technology chose to relocate its Richmond area headquarters to Hanover County. The company now owner occupies the third floor of the Rutland Center Office Building in Mechanicsville, VA with room to expand in the future. Over the years, the company’s footprint has expanded to include southern Maryland to northern North Carolina. CodeBlue also maintains its second location in Warsaw, VA.
“We were tremendously excited to build out this new space especially designed for our team and the way that we work for our clients,” said Mr. Trey Hayden, CodeBlue Technology Founder and CEO. “Our new space enables us to work more efficiently, and showcase technology for clients and prospects that visit our office. We wanted a location that was central to our customers and our footprint. Being within minutes of I-295 and I-95, we’re in a great location to be able to be responsive to our clients like we need to be. It is a bonus to be located in picturesque mixed-use development with many walkable amenities.”
From the onset of engagement with a client, CodeBlue’s consultants delve into the ways that a business wants to leverage technology in its operations. From there, the company provides a complete suite of product and service solutions to best meet the client’s needs. Team members of CodeBlue are also cross trained in order to provide rapid mobilization to readily respond to customers.
“The real difference with Hanover was the involvement of Hanover Economic Development,” says Hayden. “When they heard that we were looking, even though we’re a small company, they took a genuine interest in finding us a good spot to land in Hanover. We just felt like we had the full support of the County.”
“After Hanover County Economic Development helped us identify a building that met our needs, we started to look at the utilities and services located close to this building, and it happens to be that fiber optics and Comcast and lots of other carriers come right down Atlee Road,” said Hayden. These services being readily available enabled CodeBlue to easily get connected to the internet and other backbones needed to serve its customers.
“Don’t ignore Hanover County,” says Hayden. “And, what I mean from that is Hanover Economic Development is interested in having you regardless of your size, regardless of your mission. They will do what they can do to make sure you find the right place here.”
