The pride and joy of Hanover citizens is the annual Hanover Tomato Festival, and attendance to this popular event increases every year. The Festival is a strong tradition and recognizes the importance of one of the county’s most valuable assets: the Hanover tomato.
Ashland Strawberry Faire
The Ashland Strawberry Faire in historic Ashland, Virginia, is a traditional celebration to promote the community and feature the strawberry harvest. The Faire is usually on the first Saturday in June, held on the streets adjacent to the Randolph-Macon College campus. The Faire is a free, community and family-oriented event. There are vendors selling arts, crafts, plants, and antiques to the many thousands who attend the event.
